Common questions

Does it sag when it gets wet?

No. Open Water is made from our Performance Plus fabric, 100% polyester with structured two-way stretch that holds its shape even when soaked.

Is it see-through when wet?

No. The fabric is heavier than a typical sun shirt, so it stays opaque when it's wet from water or sweat.

How does Open Water fit?

A relaxed, classic fit that runs true to size, in S through 2XL. Check the size chart above for exact measurements.

Should I choose Open Water or Salt Line?

Choose Open Water for a sturdier shirt that holds its shape when wet on long days offshore. Choose Salt Line for our softest, lightest fabric with four-way stretch and sizes up to 3XL.

What does UPF 50+ mean?

It's the highest sun protection rating a fabric can get: it blocks at least 98% of UVA and UVB rays, and unlike sunscreen it never needs reapplying and won't sweat off.

How do I wash it?

Machine wash cold with like colors and tumble dry low. Don't use bleach, and don't iron directly over printed areas.

When will my order ship?

Most orders placed before 11am ET ship the same day, and most others ship by the next business day. Standard shipping is free on US orders of $50 or more.

Everything we sell is in stock in our own warehouse. Nothing is printed to order after you buy it.

Can I return it?

Yes, within 30 days of receiving your order, as long as it's unworn, unwashed and has its tags attached. Sale items are final sale.
